Windows thermal investigator that ranks process activity associated with CPU/GPU heat, reconstructs episodes with Heat Autopsy, and closes the loop with a reviewed stop-and-observe test. Local-by-design.
ThermoSuspect helps Windows users investigate hot or noisy PCs by combining hardware telemetry with per-process activity. It leads with a plain-language thermal verdict, ranks likely contributors with honest evidence strength, reconstructs sustained heat episodes via Heat Autopsy (including explicit no-verdict states), and offers a fail-closed reviewed process stop with a 90-second outcome spot-check labeled as supporting evidence rather than proof. History stays on-device in SQLite with CSV export and privacy-aware HTML incident reports. Distributed as a Windows x64 MSI that registers an elevated ThermoSuspect Sensor Service Scheduled Task while the UI runs non-elevated. NVIDIA NVML is optional for richer per-process GPU attribution.
